Turn those blank walls into into your gallery with the right material and a framing legacy!
Materials used make a difference in preserving and displaying your work. Carol only uses conservation materials such as mats, moulding, glass and backing material to preserve your work.
Mat Board
Mats protect the art but they also accentuate the art. All of Framing Legacy mats are acid free which mean they do not cause fading of the art piece over time. When choosing mat colors, try not to let them be a distraction to the piece, but let them make something in the piece that is "hiding" come to life. Multiple mats of complementing colors to the art piece can also present your art in a new perspective.
Moulding
Choosing the moulding or what we generally call the frame is considered the most important aspect of the design. You want an elegant frame to accentuate your piece but you don't want to take away from the importance of your piece. We need to consider size, style and type to compliment what is being framed. We can also use aspects of the frame such as boarder colors to replace the need of a mat, or even use small internal frames called fillets to replace a mat and match the outer frame. So Many Choices that Carol can help you with...
Stretching & Blocking Needle Work
Carol has spent many hours creating needle work for her family and friends. She respects the time that is spent creating such a wonderful piece of art. As an experienced framer with needlework displayed on walls world wide, she also is very experienced in stretching and framing your well hard and thoughtful art pieces. She was sought after the Dallas/Fortworth metroplex wide area and from other states for her needlework framing skills. It didn't hurt that she had several Texas State Fair Blue Ribbons and other level winning entries.
Glass "Glazing"
The last main component of a custome framed art work is the Glass. You don't realy see it but it is the most important component. It can prevent fading by usinga conservation glass, which Carol always does. It can prevent glare, and if you use museum quality it can present you with a view of the art work without distractions of glare, reflection and other angle or depth deceptions.
